Transportation Policy & Eligibility Analysis

Every state, county or district has dictated certain school transportation policies and eligibility guidelines. Such policies are hard to enforce, complaints are registered, walk hazards are debated, and exceptions occur. Exceptions thereafter are grandfathered, and compliance management becomes difficult. Dozens to hundreds of pupils that are not entitled to a bus ride may be receiving transportation.

A quick analysis of the data and a few answers to good questions can reveal what issues - if any - exist. A review of walk distance policies can highlight cost reduction opportunities during budget crunches. Oftentimes, TransPar can perform this work using your current bus routing software, and without inhibiting your current operations. Fewer bus riders eventually result in fewer buses and more savings.
