Kyle E. Martin - Vice President, TransPar Group, Inc.


TransPar:

Mr. Martin is responsible for the delivery of high quality management and consulting services to TransPar's customers. Mr. Martin also coordinates the company's marketing effort.

Mr. Martin's areas of expertise include:

  • 20+ years experience in school transportation industry
  • project coordination and solutions delivery
  • pupil transportation program and policy design and delivery
  • bus routing and capacity measurement
  • process improvement and re-engineering
  • operations-based technology and software
  • financial and operational data analysis, controls and management

Previous Accountabilities Include:

Co-Founder - TransPar Group - TransPar provides specialized management and consulting services to school districts and other entities in the transportation industry. Mr. Martin founded the company in 1995, with the goal of assisting school districts with their pupil transportation needs. TransPar provided public bus service for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. TransPar has grown to serve over 100 customers and now employs 80. Mr. Martin left TransPar in 1998 to assist the owner of a TransPar customer in developing his business, and subsequently returned full time in 2005.

President - Milepost - Milepost provided shuttle/van transportation for railroad crews. Mr. Martin directed the company operations which encompassed 1000 drivers and vehicles in 12 states. He oversaw the design and implementation of a home-grown automated dispatch system. The company was sold in 2005.

Vice President - Vancom - Vancom provided school and public bus service throughout the U.S. He led the company's marketing and customer retention programs.

President - Mayflower Contract Services - (previously R. W. Harmon & Sons) - Mayflower owned and operated 10,000 school and public transit buses throughout the nation. Mr. Martin grew the company from 1800 to 10,000 vehicles with annual revenues of $300 million. He directed Mayflower's acquisition of eleven transportation companies over a 10-year period, and led the planning and delivery of transportation services to the 1987 Pan-American Games.

Mr. Martin is past President of the National School Transportation Association and co-founder of the American Transit Service Council.
